We are a workshop
in Ubrique – Cadiz
Ubrique, a town of barely 17,000 people, is linked to a material such as leather. We are proud to be a reference for national and international firms. We enjoy a privileged environment, surrounded by two natural parks: the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park and the Alcornocales Park, both of which have for centuries provided the necessary elements for the treatment of the leather.
Ubrique means “land of springs”, as it called by the Arabs. The proximity to the Gibraltar Strait causes condensation due to the encounter between two seas, that water discharges when it hits the high peaks of the Mountain Range. It filters through the subsoil reaching Ubrique; water in the area has always been very abundant, a primordial element for the tanning of leathers.
Another source is Alcornocales Park. Besides the extraction of the cork, “tannin” is also obtained. An organic substance that, together with water, has been used for centuries to tan leather.
It was in this environment that Ubrique began in the world of tanning and the manufacture of leather goods up to the present day.
In 2007 we partnered with Pepe to run a workshop inherited from his grandfather. The collaboration between craftsmanship and continuous innovation. These are where our collections see the light, the closeness of a small town, its workshops, its people and the way to a job well done.

Over the years we have worked with different institutions, each with different needs. We specialise in the development and design of collections for museum shops.
As it could not be otherwise coming from Ubrique, the primary material we use for our collections is leather, combined with silks and fabrics.
OUR FABRIC SUPPLIER
We intend to transition to more sustainable fabrics where water consumption is lower and other recycled materials used. Our fabric supplier is continuously focusing on innovation and sustainability and is working with materials within the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) – www.controlunion.com Certifier CONTROL UNION CERTIFICATIONS B.V. with certification number: CU1001476GOTS-2020-00083603.
